CARTERSVILLE, GA – There are 12 races on the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 7 schedule of events with three races on Friday and eight races on Saturday. Week 7 action will be highlighted by a pair of $1,000-to-win races at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS on both Friday night and Saturday night.

There is a tight point battle going on in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division National point standings. Just 35 points separate the Top 10 with Branden Harris of Molino, FL at the top of the list with a three point lead over Stuart Wilson of Milton, FL and Steve Pate of Heflin, AL, who are tied for the second spot.

Cory Korreckt of Lincoln, AL is fourth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings and Howie Reeves of Crestview, FL is fifth. Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS and Bo Bailey of Milton, FL are tied for the sixth spot, and David Windham of Florala, AL is eighth. Blake Ewing of Carriere, MS is ninth and Dan Cox of Odenville, AL rounds out the Top 10.

Other Friday night races are at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, and Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL. On Saturday night, NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division races will also be held at Albany Motor Speedway in Albany, GA, Battleground Race Park in Highlands, TX, Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, LA 36 Speedway in Lacombe, LA, Mississippi Motor Park Speedway in Corinth, MS, Southern Raceway in Milton, FL, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, and Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, TN.

Drivers in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division will compete against each other nationally using a points system that will count their best 14 weekly point totals over a 27-week season that runs through September 25. The $5,000 National point fund will pay $2,000 to the National Champion and pay back to the Top 10 drivers in the final point standings.
