Conley Motorsports, Inc. Eyes Lucrative Buckeye Nationals this Weekend

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams invaded a trio of different facilities in the Buckeye State over the May 6-7 weekend and were able to walk away with a couple of Top Five performances. On Friday night, Rod Conley tackled the Legendary Hilltop Speedway in Marietta, Ohio where a $3,000 top prize was on the line in an AMRA/STARS Late Model Alliance showdown. "Hot Rod" placed fourth in his heat race prior to finishing tenth in the final rundown of the main event. His brother R.J. Conley traveled down the road to a weekly Super Late Model show at Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio on Friday and emerged with a third place effort in the $1,500 to win headliner after storming from the tail due to a flat tire in his heat race.

At Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday evening, the annual running of the 'Dan Reno Memorial' took place and a $3,622 winner's check was up for grabs. Rod qualified well and won the dash to earn the pole position for the 36-lapper. After leading the early stages of the unsanctioned race, Rod wound up fourth at the checkers behind only winner Devin Moran, Freddie Carpenter, and Duane Chamberlain. Delmas Conley clicked off the fastest lap during qualifying to earn Fast Time honors prior to finishing sixth in the fast dash and seventh in the 'Dan Reno Memorial.' Full results from all three tracks can be found online at www.legendaryhilltopspeedway.com, www.southernohiospeedway.com, and www.atomicspeedway.net.

The CMI teams of Delmas, Rod, and R.J. Conley will now turn their sole focus on the inaugural running of the ‘Buckeye Nationals’ on May 13-14 at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over the two-day extravaganza, which boasts a whopping $50,000 payday. Qualifying and heat races are scheduled for Friday evening, while the consolation events and the 75-lap ‘Buckeye Nationals’ will be held on Saturday evening.
