Rick Eshelman and Shane Andrews. I really dug Dow Carnahan, too. Lernerville will never be the same without him.

Any that stay quiet during the action. I prefer the roar of the engines over anybody's voice.

I've always liked Ozzy Altman's style, but that's not taking anything away from Ben Shelton or James Essex.
    Because Dirt's for Racin'...

Jim is back at Fonda with Cowboy Paul Szmal. I grew up listening to Jim at Fonda, and he will always be my measuring stick as far as what is a good announcer.

I really do like (in no particular order) Essex, Shelton, Ozzy, Shane Andrews, Bruce Ellis (Williams Grove), Bret Emerick, Dustin Jarrett.

The new WoO guy is terrible...more yelling than announcing IMO.

The ones who rarely talk, doesn't scream, announces professionally, doesn't do a continuous comedy act, and don't blare music every time they take a break.

Not a national announcer, I kind of like listening to Steve Vail the announcer from county line raceway.

    Like the southern twang.
