Ray Cook and Advanced Motorsports Runner-Up at Bulls Gap; Big Daddy 500 Next

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Brasstown, North Carolina standout Ray Cook hooked back up with Advanced Motorsports on Saturday, June 11 to compete in the 'Border Wars' program at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series presided over the single-day showdown, which boasted a $4,000 payday.

Ray qualified sixth quickest in time trials, which locked him into the outside of the third row for the start of the 40-lap main event. The popular driver known as the "Tarheel Tiger" then drove up to second in the headliner to earn a strong runner-up performance behind only race winner Chad Ogle. Next up on the schedule for the Advanced Motorsports team will be a visit to Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee this Saturday evening, June 18. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series will roll into SMS to sanction the ‘Big Daddy 500’ and a $5,000 top prize will be on the line. Ray is slated to unveil a new Capital racecar this weekend, while team owner Stacy Boles will also be in competition in the 40-lap program.
