Billy Moyer Jr. Claims Pair of Weekend Wins; WoO Next

Batesville, Arkansas (06/21/16) – Billy Moyer Jr. collected over $9,000 in winnings over the weekend by piloting his Crop Production Services #21jr Victory Race Car/Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model to a pair of wins in Michigan and Ohio.

“That was my first wins with both the Ethanol tour and the American Late Model Series so that was really cool,” commented Moyer Jr. “We were slowly working our way eastward to get ready for the upcoming World of Outlaws events, so we thought we would hit these shows and it really paid off. My car was awesome both nights, and I really want to thank my guys for their hard work.”

Action began for Billy on Thursday night, when took part in the opening night of the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals Hell Tour at Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, Illinois). In a field of 26-cars, Moyer Jr. battled forward in his heat scoring a 3rd-place finish after replacing the rear-end following hot laps. Starting in 7th for the feature, Billy would ultimately retire to a 16th-place outing in the 40-lapper.

On Friday night Billy headed to Hartford Speedway (Hartford, Michigan) for the American Ethanol Late Model Tour event. Drawing 33-entries for the DIRTcar show, Moyer Jr. scored a heat race win securing his spot into the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Jumping out into the lead early in the event, Billy Moyer Jr. cruised to his fifth win of the season with Dona Marcoullier, Jon Henry, Rusty Schlenk, and Rich Bell rounding out the Top-5 finishers.

The following night Moyer Jr. stopped at Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) for the Sunoco American Late Model Series sanctioned Barney Oldfield Memorial. With 41-cars registered, Billy started the night with a heat race win, setting him up with the 3rd-starting spot for the feature. Working his way into lead on lap 24, Billy Moyer Jr. held off the field for the final 16 laps, capturing his second straight victory and sixth overall on the season. Pocketing a $5,200 payday, Moyer Jr. was trailed by Jon Henry, Cody Mahoney, Jeep Van Wormer, and Dona Marcoullier across the finish line.

Billy Moyer Jr. is now ready for a busy week with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series. Action opens on Tuesday night with the 2nd Annual Finger Lakes 40 at Weedsport Speedway (Weedsport, New York), which posts an $8,000 top prize. On Thursday through Saturday he will travel to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) for the 10th Annual Firecracker 100. The event opens with a pair of $6,000-to-win events on Thursday and Friday, while Saturday night will play host to the $30,000-to-win finale.
