    Default Austin Hubbard

Saw pictures from Lernerville last night that he is debuting a new Rocket XR1 this weekend. He has run an MBH chassis for a while.

Yeah, heard he is going to require surgery and is back in Delaware already. Saw his car this morning and it didn't look like it held up very good.

If I recall correctly, he rolled 2 1/2 times and then stayed on drivers side before rolling back on its roof. I guess he got his ankle stuck between the pedals and it cut him up pretty bad.

That would be awful. I can't imagine the force on you, and then to have your ankle wedged there, dang. I like Austin, hope he heals up and has some better luck.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Ouch. Hopefully when he comes back in his XR1, he's quick and doesn't have sh!tty luck.

It really didn't look too terrible. It looked to me like it probably needs a rear clip, but it's not a total loss.

I heard it was tarped and appeared the halo was bent (caved in). If so it's junk.

It wasn't ever tarped that I know of. The crew spent the rest of the weekend tearing it down in the pits in plain view, and the halo looked fine.

There is a photo of it on Dirt On Dirt and other than bolt on components I don't see any of the major bars bent and the Halo looks fine from the photo.
