Kyle Beard Wins at I-30 Speedway; Takes CCSDS Point Lead

Trumann, Arkansas (06/28/16) – Kyle Beard raced to his first COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) win of the year on Friday night at I-30 Speedway in his Gary Beard Trucking #86 Black Diamond/ Kuntz & Co. Racing Engine Super Late Model. With the win he took over the series point lead.

“It felt really good to get back into victory lane with the CCSDS over the weekend because it’s been a while since we won one of those races,” said a relieved Beard. “This coming weekend we head to some tracks where we’ve had some pretty good runs so hopefully we can add to our point lead.”

Behind the wheel of his Super Late Model, Kyle Beard traveled to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Friday night for the opening round of the two-day COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) event. Posting a heat race win in a field of 26-cars, Beard started 5th in the opening night A-Main. Taking over the lead from Tommy Surrett on lap 15, Kyle held off the field for the remaining distance of the feature notching his fifth Super Late Model win of the season. He was followed across the finish line by Wendell Wallace, Hunter Rasdon, Kyle Cummings, and Tommy Surrett. Beard pocketed a $1,500 payday for his 30-lap A-Main victory.

Returning on Saturday for another CCSDS sanctioned show, Beard placed 3rd in his heat, earning him the 11th-starting spot for the feature. Breaking into the Top 5, Kyle improved eight positions, notching a 3rd-place finish behind race winner Jack Sullivan and Garrett Alberson with Wendell Wallace and Hunter Rasdon rounding out the top five. He received the hard charger award for his performance.
