Southern All Stars Set For July 4th Weekend At Senoia & Cochran

FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will be back in action this July 4th weekend with a pair of events at tracks that the series has already made appearances at in 2016. On Saturday night July 2nd the series will be at the Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA., for the 1st Annual Roscoe Smith Classic, a 44 lap $4,444 to win race that is honoring the father of four time Southern All Stars Clint Smith of Senoia,., and then on Sunday night July 3rd the series will move down to Chris Martin’s Cochran Motor Speedway the 4th of July Spectacular which will also be a 40 lap $4,000 to win event.

This will be races 9 & 10 for the series this year and three time series champion Riley Hickman is back on top of the standings as he has a 64 point lead over the second place driver Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN., third place in series points is Jim Rogers of Statesboro, GA., who is also in a tight battle for the Cruise with the Champions/Dirtondirt.com rookie of the year battle with Skinner.

Drivers that are expected to compete this weekend include Dillon Tidmore of Glencoe, AL., Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN., Bo Shirley of Gadsden, AL., Clint Smith of Senoia, GA., Joe Armistead of Senoia, GA., Mark Bangs of Ft Payne, AL., Jake Knowles of Rome, GA., Austin Horton of Senoia, GA., Jason Hiett of Oxford, AL., Ashton Winger Senoia, GA., T J Reaid Acworth, GA., Cody King McDonough, GA., plus many more drivers from across the area.

Pit gates open at both tracks at 3pm with drivers meeting scheduled for 6:30pm and hot laps to follow.
