(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team headed south to the Land of Lincoln on June 24-25 for a pair of $10,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals battles. On Friday night at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, Jimmy Mars timed in second fastest in Group A during qualifying prior to running second in heat race action. At Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois on Saturday evening, a $10,000 top prize awaited the winner of another "Hell Tour" stop. Jimmy clicked off the third quickest lap in Group A during the time trial session and later ran second in his loaded heat race. The Menomonie, Wisconsin star then rolled off from the inside of the third row in the 50-lapper before muscling up to third at the checkers to finish behind only race winner Brandon Sheppard and runner-up Billy Moyer.
