Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Moler July 22, Ponderosa July 23

Glasgow, KY-July 12, 2016 (www.americanmodifiedseries.com)- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will return to action with a doubleheader weekend of open wheel racing competition with visits to Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday July 22 and Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY on Saturday July 23. Both events will pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start.

Of note, the series tire rule for the remainder of the season that follows the guidelines of the UMP Dirt Car organization will be as follows: Effective July 3, the only legal tires for Summit Racing Equipment Series competition will be the Hoosier A40S with an option of the Hoosier H40 on the right rear.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will begin the weekend in the Buckeye State with a visit to Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday July 22. The tour will be in action in a complete program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Moler Raceway Park on Friday July 22 will be the STARS Buckeye Dirt Late Model Speedweek Super Late Models racing for $3,000 to win and the track’s Crazy Compacts division. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50.

The weekend will conclude in the Bluegrass State with a rare Saturday night date at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY on Saturday July 23. The tour will be in action in a complete program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main contest. Joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Ponderosa Speedway on Saturday July 23 will be the Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass Series Super Late Models racing for $3,000 to win in the track’s 19th Annual Pete Abell Memorial, along with the track’s Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $1,000 to win and KDRA Super Stocks racing for $600 to win. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50 and transponder timing/scoring will be used at Ponderosa Speedway and the rental fee is $10.

Activities for the Friday July 22 event at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:45 p.m. Practice laps will begin at 7:15 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are EDT. Ticket prices for the July 22 event at Moler Raceway Park in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will cost $35.

Activities for the Saturday July 23 event at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area opening at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:30 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are EDT. Ticket prices for the July 23 event at Ponderosa Speedway in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will be $35.
