Delmas Conley Adds Another Win to Illustrious Resume Saturday at PRP!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The patriarch of the racing Conley clan, Delmas Conley, reached victory lane for the second time in 2016 on Saturday evening, July 9 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio! Delmas timed in second quickest during Super Late Model qualifying prior to winning his heat race. After starting the weekly main event from the outside of the front row, the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer led each and every circuit of the contest to bag the $2,000 windfall over Nick Bocook, R.J. Conley, Robbie Lewis, and Kenneth Howell. R.J. earned the podium finish despite a broken right front shock and his son J.T. Conley also posted a solid effort in the feature, as he drove his #71j to a tenth place showing.

Rod Conley took his racing talents north to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio once again, as a $1,500 payday was on the line in another weekly Super Late Model program. Rod won his heat race and was leading early in the headliner before unfortunately spinning to miss a slow lapped car, who had changed lanes right in front of him. "Hot Rod" then rallied from the back of the pack to finish fifth in the final rundown behind only race winner Duane Chamberlain, Jason Montgomery, Mark Frazier, and Billy Gullion. Complete results from both shows can be viewed online at www.portsraceway.com and www.atomicspeedway.net.

All four Conley’s plan on tackling the same two Buckeye State ovals this upcoming Saturday night, July 16. Delmas, R.J., and J.T. Conley will head back to Portsmouth (OH) Raceway Park, while Rod Conley will be in the pit area at Atomic (OH) Speedway. Another weekly Super Late Model show will be held at PRP with a $2,000 top prize up for grabs, while the ‘Bob Crace, Sr. Memorial’ is planned for Atomic with a $3,023 winner’s check.
