My buddy bought a almost new sport mod motor .... After a few runs the harmonic balancer came lose ? .....He said it was a 2 piece ? something about the rubbr was gone .... Is there any reason for concern or something to check ? He said its just a cheap $ 50 part that failed & replacing it with one piece ....

ATI is the only damper to bolt to a motor.
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.

Stock style dampers come apart like that sometimes.I've replaced them with stock ones and went back to racing.BHJ makes good balancers also.If you have a lightweight crank it needs an ATI
