2016 Edition of the FANSFund Comes to a Roaring Close

New Richmond, WI (August 8, 2016): The FANSFund team wrapped up another very successful season at the 29th running of the USA Nationals. All 13 drivers that were invited to receive financial support through this year’s FANSFund voting process were in attendance and participated in this year’s events.

The popular 12 lap FANSFund Dash was the final event on the card for opening night of the USA Nationals Friday, August 4th. Top vote receiver, Jason Feger of Bloomington, IL paced the field to the green flag and never looked back as he ran unchallenged to the checkered flag for a popular win. Jason took home a cool $2,500 for his win from a total purse of $24,925 that paid the top 5 finishers $2,000 or more.

The very popular FANSFund luncheon for the fans that donated at least $30, our sponsors, and the FANSFund drivers and crews was held Saturday afternoon August 6th at 12:30 in the Cedar Lake Arena with approximately 225 people in attendance. It was a fun event with those in attendance receiving a FANSFund t-shirt, a nice lunch provided by Cedar Lake Speedway, an autograph session with the drivers, and were eligible for numerous door prizes, including driver door panels, t-shirts, hats, driver signs, stickers, etc. At the luncheon the drivers were brought up one by one, paid for their finishing position in the FANSFund Dash, asked to say a few words, and draw some raffle tickets which allowed many of our fans to go home with some extra memorable door prizes. The drivers were all super thankful to all the fans, sponsors and the FANSFund team for all the financial support they received. Thank you to the drivers and sponsors that donated items for the raffle.

How very, very fortunate Cedar Lake is to have a superman fan like Tom Emerson. Would to God that EVERY dirt track had an informal promoter like this, well, probably no one can match Tom, but you get the idea. Look at the "pocket change" these drivers got from the FansFund !
