    Southern Nationals Bonus Series and Ponderosa Speedway Announce Plans for Fall Classic

    BRASSTOWN, N.C. – August 14, 2016 – The Southern Nationals Bonus Series and the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky. have announced plans for the 26th Annual Fall Classic weekend which will be held on Friday and Saturday November 4 and 5. An agreement was reached last week between new promoter Jamie Stumph to continue the sanction and adjust the event from its originally scheduled format with former owner Jerry Denson.

    On Friday Night November 4th the track will host an un-sanctioned $3,000-to-win Super Late Model race while the Southern Nationals Bonus Series will sanction Saturday’s 60-lap 26th Annual Fall Classic paying $10,000-to-win on November 5th. An open practice session will be held on Thursday November 3rd for all divisions. More information on this event will be announced as it draws nearer.

    The Southern Nationals Bonus Series sanctioned the Fall Classic at Ponderosa Speedway during the 2015 season while Chris Madden of Gray Court, S.C. picked up the $25,000 payday over Scott Bloomquist, Mike Marlar, Michael Chilton and Dustin Linville.

    So you all agreed to cut 16,000.00 from 1st place money denson had that race the way it was planned when david ferrel started the fall classic it was to go up 1000.00 each year when racers and fans read about these purse cuttings it keeps them from supporting the track 16,000.00 is just insane you can forget about all the so called big boys to be there
