    Default Boone

I just read an article that Boone has outlawed slide jobs. Has anyone else read that?

Wow, if other tracks pick up on this? Pierce and JD may not ever win another race lol. Let the games begin

I was thinking that was where the 0 and his fans needed to go.

OK, so I wasted some time and did some research. This is all about a facebook post...imagine that.

In the IMCA Sportmod division a guy pulled a good, clean slider and cleared the leader fine, the leader then turned down and got into the now third place car who spun. What the officials didn't know was the third place car spun because his carb was messed up and the engine had no go juice...

The track responded to a post on Facebook, probably not the smartest thing to do, with the "Slide Jobs aren't allowed...especially if they cause a wreck" that people are talking about now. I can't imagine the person who posted it is actually speaking for the track officials, but who knows.

In my mind, yes, a dirty slider needs addressed, a clean one does not. This comes from a guy that basically hates Boone Speedway because of how they do track prep...

I saw it but couldn't help but find it pretty funny. I knew it was the mods in question but it's also amazing how rules like that progress pretty quick in all classes. I for 1 hate "bad" sliders but it is a big part of racing. It's ridiculous to think a track would even attempt to ban sliders.

I love sliders. White Castle has the bestest.

Short story from my perspective is this track doesn't represent all of racing....thank goodness. Also, Boone is owned by IMCA so there you go on that. Also, they don't have Late Models weekly, just specials twice a year.
