Delmas Conley Lands in Top Five of Annual Fred Dillow Memorial at PRP

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams geared up for a pair of unsanctioned Super Late Model specials over the August 19-21 weekend in their home state of Ohio. On Friday night at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio, brothers Rod and R.J. Conley vied for the $3,500 top prize in the annual running of the 'Ike Moler Memorial.' R.J. won his heat race in preliminary action and later ran sixth in the headliner to finish behind only winner Brandon Sheppard, Devin Gilpin, Jackie Boggs, Devin Moran, and Duane Chamberlain. Rod placed second in his heat race before slipping to seventh at the checkers of the 'Ike Moler Memorial.'

Following a rain-out on Saturday evening at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, the 22nd edition of the 'Fred Dillow Memorial' took center stage at PRP starting Sunday afternoon. Delmas Conley, the patriarch of the racing Conley clan, posted the fifth quickest lap in qualifying prior to running third in the fast dash and fifth in the $5,000 to win main event behind only feature winner Devin Moran, Tyler Carpenter, Jackie Boggs, and Dustin Linville. Rod finished fifth in his stacked heat race and won his B-Main before eventually winding up fourteenth in the final rundown of the 40-lapper. R.J. placed second in his heat race, but was an early retiree in the 'Fred Dillow Memorial' and was paid for an eighteenth place performance. Complete results from both Moler and PRP can be found online at www.molerracewaypark.com and www.portsraceway.com.

With R.J. scheduled to enjoy the upcoming weekend off from racing action, Delmas and Rod will be the lone two CMI drivers to display their racing talents. Delmas will take his famed #71 machine to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for a $2,000 to win weekly Super Late Model program on Saturday, August 27, while Rod will unload his #71r racecar on Saturday at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio for a $1,500 to win show. Additional information on both Ohio facilities can be accessed online at www.portsraceway.com and www.atomicspeedway.net.
