Advanced Motorsports Drivers Both Wind Up Inside Top Ten at Smoky Mountain

(CLINTON, TENNESSEE) Both Ray Cook and Stacy Boles were in action with the Southern Nationals Bonus Series on Saturday evening, August 27 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee. Ray clicked off the fifth quickest time in Group A during the qualifying session prior to moving up a couple of spots during the $5,300 to win feature event en route to a steady seventh place performance.

Stacy timed in seventh fastest in his group during qualifying, won his B-Main, and was solidly inside of the top ten late in the 40-lap distance before blowing his right front tire on the final circuit. The Clinton, Tennessee native wound up with significant damage to his #11b mount due to the subsequent wreck and was placed ninth in the final finishing order. The Advanced Motorsports team is scheduled to take the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend (September 2-4) off from Super Late Model competition.
