    Default Another one out

Saw where Brian Shirley is sidelined with concussion, this has become a real problem in racing as of late have no idea what a solution would be though. In the Weaver interview he suggests slowing the cars down some way I would say he would know as well as any one being he has suffered the same fate.

They took away horsepower. That just allowed them to go faster through the turns which is the problem with racing. Leave the motors along and slow them down in the turns. Hard tires or narrower tires is one way but the cars have to be off of the ground to let air under. Also need to run on springs. And no downforce. All of this sounds easy but it is the solution. Taking away motor is not a solution.

Interesting interview in which AJFoyt and Mario Andretti agreed on something. Mario was asked how to fix modern racing and he replied give them 1000 HP and take off the wings. They will have to slow down in turns and race.

Not a late model driver, but Robert Ballou, last year's USAC sprint car champion, broke his neck last night in a pretty vicious crash in California. Been a rough year for sure.

If you want a slower lm go to a different class e.i. crates or limited...just cause you slow the car down doesnt mean the impact will be softer

I'll watch( and enjoy) just about anything.........slowing the cars down a bit won't hurt a thing IMO.....the drivers will still find a way to make it exciting.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Exactly......honestly, some of the best races I watch are the "stock" cars at my local track!

Again. They tried to even in NASCAR recently. How did that work out. When it's your turn it's your turn.

a25ajr... you are correct. Last night at Shawano they had two B features for the IMCA stock cars and took the top three out of each to fill out the main. Must have had 50 cars in that class. They always put on a great show.

Meanwhile the late models had 16 entries.

I am not sure Weaver was saying even it out as much as slowing the cars down a little.

That's a pretty cynical way of looking at it.

Kidding of course, it is something that needs to be looked at( if it hasn't been already) at longhorn to see if there is any correlation between them.
