USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters Sprint Cars invade Dirt Track at Charlotte for World Short Track Championship on October 20th through 22nd.

Atlanta, GA – September 10, 2016 - The 20th Anniversary United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars will invade the famed Dirt Track at Charlotte clay oval in Concord, North Carolina as the sanctioning body of the 360 sprint car portion of the inaugural World Short Track Championship. The event is set to take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2016.

The timing of the event is over the weekend prior to the already established Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals weekend on October 27th through 29th at the venue directly across the street from Charlotte Motor Speedway. The event will be the first-ever for the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters to the Dirt Track at Charlotte. The race is expected to draw a strong contingent of winged sprint car drivers from a number of states and awards USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour National and USCS Southern Thunder Tour regional series points as well. Four past National and regional series Champions from the USCS are already entered as well as the region’s top drivers.

Although the purse is expected to increase from some sponsors presently being negotiated, the top prize on Saturday night to the main event winner who parks in the www.rockauto.com USCS Victory Lane is presently scheduled to receive $2500 with $400 to the last place finisher. In addition to the cash awards there are a number of contingency awards as well.

All preliminary qualifying action for the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour sprint cars is to be held on Friday, October 21st. The Saturday night format includes B-Main (s) and the Championship A-Main final
