R.J. Conley Wins Heat Race to Transfer into 46th World 100 at Eldora Speedway

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The "Biggest Dirt Race in the World" took center stage for Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) over the September 8-10 weekend on the hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, as the 46th version of the 'World 100' drew a healthy 108 car field. The three-day crown jewel showdown at the 1/2-mile, Darke County speedplant started with a pair of $10,000 to win Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday night, R.J. Conley won his heat race prior to winding up twenty-fourth in the final rundown of the 25-lap sprint. At the "Big E" on Friday evening, R.J. placed third in his heat race and eleventh in the 25-lapper.

When Saturday arrived in the Buckeye State, the stakes were significantly heightened, as each of the competitors were focused on the whopping $49,000 winner's check and the famed globe trophy. R.J. scored an impressive victory in the first heat race and later rolled off from the outside of the third row for the start of the 100-lap headliner. The Wheelersburg, Ohio hotshoe ran amongst the top ten early in the distance before eventually settling for a twenty-first place performance in this year's edition of the 'World 100.' Delmas Conley - the patriarch of the Conley racing clan - was also in action at Eldora, but was unfortunately unable to crack the starting grid for each of his three feature events. Complete results from the extended weekend can be accessed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Next up on the schedule for the CMI teams will be a pair of weekly Super Late Model events in southern Ohio on Saturday night, September 17. Delmas and R.J. Conley will venture to the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for a $2,000 to win battle. Rod Conley will unload a brand-new XR1 Rocket Chassis on Saturday at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, as a $1,500 top prize is up for grabs.
