    Big Daddy Classic $3,088 to win for Pro Late Models at Ponderosa Speedway September 30

    Junction City, KY (September 18, 2016)- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenivs will return to action at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday September 30 with the Big Daddy Classic, paying $3,088 to win for Pro Late Models, plus $888 to win for Modifieds, $1,088 to win for KDRA Super Stocks, $488 to win for Stock Four Cylinders, and $188 to win for Mini-Cup/Cyclones.

    Ponderosa Speedway’s next event will now be on Friday September 30 and will be the Big Daddy Classic, paying $3,088 to win for the Pro Late Model division in a 50 lap main event. The American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks will also be in action racing for $1,088 to win. Also on the Big Daddy Classic racing program on September 30 will be Modifieds racing for $888 to win, Stock Four Cylinders racing for $488 to win, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $188 to win. The Super Late Model division will not be in competition on September 30. All divisions, except Pro Late Models, will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions, while Pro Late Models will have a separate practice and time trial session. RACEceivers are mandatory for use in all divisions and transponder timing/scoring will be used and the transponder rental fee is $10. All drivers are urged to be at the track and signed in by 7:00 p.m. The entry fee for the Pro Late Model division for this event will be $50. The entry fee for the American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks will be $10.

    Also, there will be a non-qualifiers event for the Pro Late Model division for those drivers that do not qualify for the Big Daddy Classic A-Main event that evening. The non-qualifiers event will be 15 laps in distance and pay $300 to win and $50 to start.

    This event is being held to honor the memory of former longtime Ponderosa Speedway competitor Paul “Big Daddy” Feistritzer, who competed for many seasons in the Super Late Model at the track, but concluded his career racing in the Pro Late Model division prior to his untimely death after losing his battle with cancer.

    Activities for the Friday September 30 Big Daddy Classic racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to begin at 7:20 p.m., followed immediately by green flag racing. Tickets prices for the Friday September 30 racing program in the general admission will be $15 for adults, while children ages 12 and under will be FREE. In the pit area, a pit pass for adults will be $35, while children ages 6 to 12 will be $15, with children ages 5 and under FREE.
