    Can anyone tell me who the driver is of the Valvoline s1 car is in this video? It's around the 4:58 mark.

    I think you're right. The sponsor on the side is Carl E. Smith, which was a construction company I believe. Mike and his dad Eddie Burl were both involved in that company and raced throughout the Ohio Valley between their prison sentences for tax evasion and bankruptcy fraud. Those guys always had the best of everything and it was revealed later how they paid for it.

    I'm fairly young, but I do remember seeing them race a few times at Pennsboro.

    Yeah the Smiths. Remember them at Pennsboro. The black car with the yellow S1, absolutely immaculate, yellow hauler at that time. Ran the company in the ground, and off to prison they went. The son Mike was at PRP for the DTWC in 2012 I think it was. After his time in the clink. Nice car, Roush Yates motor, wanna say it was maybe one of the first Kryptonite cars. Not sure. But it was short and sweet, and he was gone. He definitely had some cob webs.
    Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.
