201 Speedway Hosts Iron-Man Mountain Championship for Halloween 30 on October 1st

SOMERSET, KY (September 25, 2016)—The eighth and final event of the Iron-Man Mountain Championship for Super Late Models will take place on Saturday Night October 1st paying $3,000-to-win and $250-to-start at the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Ky.

The event, dubbed the “Halloween 30” will feature the Iron-Man Super Late Models plus racing in the Open Wheel Modifieds ($700-to-win) plus Bombers ($500-to-win) and the Four-Cylinders ($300-to-win).

At 201 Speedway on October 1st, both gates will open at 3:00 pm with the driver’s meeting slated for 6:30 pm and hot laps at 7:00 pm. Adult general admission is $20.00 while adult pit passes are $35.00.

Saturday’s race will feature a complete show of practice, qualifying, heat races, consolation races and the 30-lap main event. The Super Late Model tire rule for the October 1st race is as follows: American Racer 44, 48 and 56 compounds along with the Hoosier 1300, 1350 and 1600 compounds. The series entry fee is $50.00. The Super Late Model weight Rules are 2300 lbs. for open engines and 2200 lbs. for steel block (also 525 or crate) engines.

This season, there have been five different winners in seven events. Jackie Boggs of Grayson, Ky. claimed the opener on June 17th at Mountain Motor Speedway. Greg Johnson of Bedford, Ind. claimed the June 18th event at 201 Speedway. Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.V. took home the $10,000 payday at Richmond (Ky.) Raceway during the Iron-Man Classic on June 25th in a thrilling race. Ricky Weiss of Headingly, Manitoba, Canada captured the July 1st race at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. while Chad Ogle of Sevierville, Tenn. won the Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway race on July 2nd. Jackie Boggs again claimed back-to-back victories on August 5th and 6th at Mountain Motor Speedway and 201 Speedway. So far, there have been 78 different drivers race with the series.

Tommy Bailey of Corbin, Ky. leads the point standings heading into the final race with a 20-point lead over Steve Stollings of Hazard, Ky. If the top-two drivers have attended 80 percent of the races by Saturday, they will be paid the full points fund monies. The top-three drivers in points will receive contingency awards from Schaeffer’s Oil, Revelution Race Cars and Double H Race Fabrications.

Nightly contingencies available for 201 Speedway are as follows:
-Revelution Race Cars: $50 product certificate for highest finishing Revelution Race Car
-Vic Hill Racing Engines: $50 product certificate for highest finishing Vic Hill Engine
-American Race South-$100 product certificate for highest finishing American Race tire
-Double H Race Fabrication-$50 product certificate to 10th place finisher
