ATWOOD, TN – Clayhill Motorsports officials just keep adding to the $40,000 plus payout for the biggest race in West Tennessee, the Cotton Bowl Cup, as the competitors in the Crate Late Model Division will now race for $2,000-to-win in their main event. That should bring out some tough competition for the Cotton Bowl Cup on September 29 through October 1.

Race Fans gathering at Clayhill Motorsports for the Cotton Bowl Cup on September 29 through October 1 should expect to see Crate Late Model standouts like Ronnie Cooper of McKenzie, TN, Ricky Waggoner of Martin, TN, Dennis Bush of Cedar Grove, TN, Joe Mike of Mayfield, KY, Bronson Berry of Huntingdon, TN, Ben Garner of Greenfield, TN, and Jimmy Halford of Atwood, TN.

Along with the Crate Late Models, eight other Divisions will be in action at the Cotton Bowl Cup. There will be extra laps and extra cash up for grabs in the Open-Wheel Modified Division, the NeSmith-Style Street Stock Division, the Hobby Division, the E-Mod Division, the Clayhill Motorsports Street Stock Division, the Hummer Division and the Mini Mod Division.

The Open-Wheel Modified Division main event will pay $3,500-to-win and the NeSmith-Style Street Stocks will race for $2,500-to-win in their main event. The Hobby Division will tee it up for $2,000-to-win, and the E-Mods will compete for $1,500-to-win.

The Clayhill Motorsports Street Stock Division will battle for $1,000-to-win, and the Pure Stock Division will race for $750-to-win in their main event. The Mini Mods and the Hummers will each compete for $500-to-win in their respective main events in the Cotton Bowl Cup.

The on-track action begins on Thursday night, September 29 with an Open Practice Session. Gates open at 5 p.m., with practice from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The General Admission Grandstand will be free of charge for the Open Practice, and pit passes are $20.

Race fans will catch a big break at the ticket window for the $40,000 Cotton Bowl Cup. They will be able to witness this big event and only have to pay $10 each night for a Grandstand Ticket. That is less than most race tracks in the country charge for a regular weekly show!

The racing action on Friday night, September 30 will feature Qualifying and Heat Races for all six racing divisions. Competitors must compete on Friday night to race on Saturday night. The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. and the grandstand gate opens at 5 p.m. Hot Laps are set for 6 p.m., and racing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Grandstand tickets will be $10 and pit passes are $30.

The B-Main Races and the Feature Races will be on tap for racing action on Saturday night, October 1. The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. and the grandstand gate opens at 5 p.m. Hot Laps are set for 6 p.m., and racing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Grandstand tickets will be $10 and pit passes are $30.
