ATWOOD, TN – The “NeSmith-Style” Street Stocks will race for $2,500-to-win in the main event for the biggest event in West Tennessee, the Cotton Bowl Cup at Clayhill Motorsports on September 29 through October 30. With the big money on the line, drivers are expected from seven different states to compete in nine different Divisions of race cars for over $40,000 and prize money.

The Southern Nationals Street Stock Champion Michael Blade of Culleoka, TN will lead the entrants for the “NeSmith-Style” Street Stocks with other entries expected from Jimmy Nolen of Huron, TN, Spencer Hughes of Meridian, MS, Joe Hamm of Dover, TN, and Cody Hodges of Clarksville, TN.

The “NeSmith-Style” Street Stock Division has become a fan-favorite known for its two and three-wide style of competitive racing that has been made possible by its economical rules package. The popular engine option is the Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine that is built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications. The cost of the engine to the racer is right at $3,500.

Along with the “NeSmith-Style” Street Stock Division, eight other Divisions will be in action at the Cotton Bowl Cup. There will be extra laps and extra cash up for grabs in the Open-Wheel Modified Division, the Crate Late Model Division, the Hobby Division, the E-Mod Division, the Clayhill Motorsports Street Stock Division, the Hummer Division and the Mini Mod Division.

The Open-Wheel Modified Division main event will pay $3,500-to-win and the Crate Late Models will race for $2,000-to-win in their main event. The Hobby Division will tee it up for $2,000-to-win, and the E-Mods will compete for $1,500-to-win.

The Clayhill Motorsports Street Stock Division will battle for $1,000-to-win, and the Pure Stock Division will race for $750-to-win in their main event. The Mini Mods and the Hummers will each compete for $500-to-win in their respective main events in the Cotton Bowl Cup.
