OctoberFest 2016 Super Late Models $3,000 to win at Ponderosa Speedway October 7

Junction City, KY (October 2, 2016)- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenivs will present the OctoberFest 2016 event at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday October 7 paying $3,000 to win for Super Late Models, $1,200 to win for Pro Late Models, plus $800 to win for Modifieds, $750 to win for KDRA Super Stocks, $400 to win for Stock Four Cylinders, and $100 to win for Mini-Cup/Cyclones.

Ponderosa Speedway’s OctoberFest 2016 will take place on Friday October 7 and will see the Super Late Models $3,000 to win, along with Pro Late Models racing for $1,200 to win. Also on the OctoberFest 2016 racing program on October 7 will be Modifieds racing for $800 to win, KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win, Stock Four Cylinders racing for $400 to win, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win. Of note, if there are less than ten (10) entries in the Stock Four Cylinder and/or Mini-Cup/Cyclone division, those divisions will run a feature event only, with Stock Four Cylinders 15 laps and Mini-Cup/Cyclones 12 laps. All divisions, except Super Late Models, will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions, while Super Late Models will have a separate practice and time trial session. RACEceivers are mandatory for use in all divisions and transponder timing/scoring will be used and the transponder rental fee is $10. All drivers are urged to be at the track and signed in by 7:00 p.m. The entry fee for the Super Late Model division for this event will be $50.

Activities for the Friday October 7 OctoberFest 2016 racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to begin at 7:20 p.m., followed immediately by green flag racing. Tickets prices for the Friday October 7 racing program in the general admission will be $20 for adults, while children ages 12 and under will be FREE. In the pit area, a pit pass for adults will be $35, while children ages 6 to 12 will be $15, with children ages 5 and under FREE.
