October 11, 2016 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Sarver, PA)...The 2016 racing season will come to a close this weekend for the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Racing Series powered by Pace Performance at Lernerville Speedway part of their annual "Steel City Stampede". While exciting racing events will take place for the Sweeney Late Model Touring Series, Bicknell Sportsman Modified Touring Series, and more on Friday and Saturday nights, drivers in the both divisions as well as RUSH Pro Stock racers will be eligible for more than $15,000 in product giveaways.

The single most valuable product contingency prize ever in the history of RUSH will take place in victory lane following the RUSH Late Model feature on Saturday night, as a certificate valued at $7,500 towards the purchase of a 2017 Rocket XR1 Chassis, Stage 2 will be drawn in victory lane upon the completion of the RUSH Late Model "Touring" event!

Eligible racers include those that were part of the Pace Performance "Summer Chase". Those drivers will each receive one chance per race competed during the July 1-September 4 period (see list below). Drivers will receive a sealed envelope containing their corresponding number of chances they have in the drawing for the XR1 certificate on Saturday at driver check-in. They will then verify their tickets and place them in the drawing box. Chances for eligible racers that are not in attendance will also be in sealed envelopes, verified by a person independent of RUSH and also placed in the drawing box.

"We want to thank Mark Richards and Steve Baker of Rocket Chassis for stepping up their involvement with RUSH," stated Series Co-Director Vicki Emig. "To be able to award one of our RUSH racers a certificate valued at $7,500 towards the purchase of a Stage 2 2017 Rocket XR1 chassis simply amazing! Couple that with the fact that Rocket Chassis is the chassis of choice throughout our Series and there is no doubt that RUSH racers from Canada to southern Maryland and everywhere in between will be greatly anticipating this drawing."

For the sixth straight year, Lincoln Electric is a Major Contingency Sponsor of the RUSH Late Models. The involvement grew to the Sportsman Modifieds in 2014, and in 2016 provided the Series with three Power Mig 140C machines and utility carts, valued at $750 each! Bryce Davis (Late Models) and Josh Seippel (Sportsman Modifieds) were the prize winners on the “Manufacturers Nights” presented by MSD. A third will be given away this weekend with all competing RUSH Late Model, Sportsman Modified, and Pro Stock drivers eligible in addition to the GM 604/602 competitors that raced in the new RUSH Pro Mod class at Stateline Speedway.

Also taking place this weekend at Lernerville is the second annual RUSH Pro Stock "Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance. All legal GM 604 and 602 crate engine Stock racers that are participating will be eligible to win the several thousands of dollars of product contingencies, which will be held late Saturday afternoon before the races. A complete list of prizes will be released in the coming days.

"The product contingency piece of the RUSH Racing Series has become as equally important to the success of RUSH as championship cash point funds, which combined will exceed $225,000 in 2016, and by early indications that number is set to grow in 2017," stated Emig. "I cannot tell you how proud we are to have over 50 Nationally recognized companies support our continued efforts to grow crate engine racing throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Canada by contributing a useful and valuable product that our racers can utilize in their racing efforts."

In addition, the normal Touring Series event contingencies will be on the line for both the RUSH Late Models and RUSH Sportsman Modifieds.
