Delmas Conley Back in STARS Victory Lane for Second Straight Week; DTWC Ahead!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Delmas Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, recorded his second straight Short Track Auto Racing Series (STARS) triumph at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday night, October 8! Delmas won his heat race in preliminary action and later started the headliner from the pole position. The Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer then paced the stout field for all forty circuits to bag the $4,000 payday over Rod Conley, Eddie Carrier, Jr., R.J. Conley, and Greggie Oliver! Delmas, who is 74 years young, now has five feature wins to his credit during the course of his 2016 campaign!

Rod ran second in his heat race and moved up from the third starting spot to bag the impressive runner-up showing. R.J. experienced transponder issues during qualifying and did not record an official time prior to climbing up to third in his heat race and fourth in the 'Fall 40' feature event. Earlier in the weekend, "Hot Rod" won his heat race on Friday evening at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio and later posted an eighth place performance in the $3,000 to win 'Harvest 50,' which was also sanctioned by the STARS Series.
