Dennis Erb, Jr. Grabs Top Five in Coors Light Fall Classic; Charlotte Ahead on Schedule

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing ventured south to Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi on October 21-22 for the annual running of the 'Coors Light Fall Classic.' The unsanctioned Super Late Model program boasted a $15,000 top prize.

On Friday night, Dennis Erb, Jr. clicked off the eighth fastest lap in his group during the qualifying session prior to rallying to the front to score an impressive heat race triumph. After starting Saturday's 100-lapper from the outside of the second row, Dennis unfortunately went too hard on tires and had to make a pit stop for softer rubber. The Carpentersville, Illinois standout then charged from the rear of the field to salvage a solid fifth place effort behind only victor David Breazeale, Scott Bloomquist, Dane Dacus, and Tyler Erb. Complete results from Whynot can be accessed online at www.whynotmotorsportspark.com.

Dennis and his #28 team will stay in the Southeast and will invade the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina from October 27-29 for the ‘World of Outlaws World Finals.’ Two rounds of World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series qualifying will kick things off at the 4/10-mile speedplant later tonight, which will set the lineups for the pair of special events on Friday and Saturday. Both complete shows for the Super Late Models will be headlined by 50-lap main events – each of which pay $12,000 to the winner. Joining the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series at the Charlotte-area facility this weekend are the World of Outlaws Sprint Series and Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds.
