Dennis Erb Racing Set to Close Out 2016 Season in National 100 at EAMS

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and Dennis Erb Racing helped wrapped up the 2016 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series schedule over the October 27-29 weekend in the annual running of the 'World of Outlaws World Finals' at the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina. Things kicked off at the 4/10-mile speedplant on Thursday evening with two rounds of qualifying, which determined the lineups for heat race action the remainder of the weekend. Dennis clicked off the seventh quickest lap in Group A for Friday's program, while he timed in sixth fastest in Group B for Saturday's showdown.

When Friday night rolled around in the Charlotte area, Dennis ran second in his heat race prior to winding up sixth in the $12,000 to win main event. After fifty green flag circuits, the Carpentersville, Illinois star found himself trailing only victor Josh Richards, Chris Madden, Darrell Lanigan, Brandon Overton, and Shane Clanton. In Saturday's $12,000 to win 'World of Outlaws World Finals' finale, Dennis once again placed second in his heat race and later crossed underneath the checkers thirteenth in the 50-lapper. The #28 team is now set to close out their version of the 2016 racing season over the November 4-6 weekend at the historic East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama. The 42nd edition of the ‘National 100’ will be held at EAMS and for the first time three separate shows will thrill the fans in attendance for the unsanctioned mega-event. A $5,000 top prize will be on the line on both Friday and Saturday in preliminary shootouts, while Sunday’s annual ‘National 100’ will once again boast a $20,000 winner’s check. Since 2005, Dennis has made each starting field for the ‘National 100’ and has finished inside of the top ten in all but one occasion – including last year’s fourth place feature effort.
