Default Rumley Left rear/ spring bars etc

Not looking to find out exactly what rumley was doing, but I am very interested to find out what problem he was trying to address with the 4 bar suspension. He mentioned he was just fixing the negative that a 4 bar has. What's your guys opinions on what negatives he was talking about. I like things that make me think.

Adding to much rear steer for the amount of hike up on the LR.

Split the cage, and allowed the rear end to scissor back while he was on the gas.

    Just say no...

    That's part of it...
The other part of it is that on almost all 4-bar suspensions, the mechanism that we use to limit LR hike is also unloading the LR tire. The Rumley device did just the opposite.

They're loaded upper bars on left and right sides. Big deal. Want the spring rates and preload as well as over all preload and travel? Just lighten them LR springs and get some good rebkindin the rr and keep some left upper and your fine.
