Default Looking for a set of bowtie heads

I have to run a production cast head in my class, and I am looking for a good set of bowties. Before anyone else says anything about what head I need instead, tell me why. Please!!!

The best production cast iron head is the Vortec heads. They are better than Bowtie heads. If you can run the Bowtie Vortec they are the best by far but the last I heard they are no longer be produced.

Thanks 71m, I forgot to add that I can run a four barrel, solid cam, and headers. But no roller rockers or aluminum intakes, so that is why I am leaning towards the bowtie heads. I can run a cast bowtie high rise with them, versus the vortec heads.

I don't know a lot about the bowtie heads but I think the later versions of them were better. If porting is allowed then there is less difference. There is a marine Vortec intake that is cast iron but that may or may not be legal for your rules.

I have a bare set of Phase 2 bowties. But shipping might be killer.
My sarcasm is a pre-emptive strike to your stupidity!!

I have a brand new set of bowtie vortec heads bought from GM. they are complete ready to race. We ran them a couple races and were told that we couldn't run the bowtie vortec.
