Brandon Kinzer Eyes Gobbler at Boyd’s After Ponderosa Doubleheader

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team ventured to Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky on November 4-5 for a pair of special Super Late Model events. On Friday night in the 'Hugh "Junebug" Rowland Memorial,' Brandon laid down the fourth quickest lap in Group A during qualifying prior to grabbing the third transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the $3,000 to win main event from the inside of the sixth row, BK hung around the top ten throughout the feature distance before eventually landing in the twelfth finishing position.

The Lexington, Kentucky ace then narrowly missed out on transferring into Saturday evening's 'Fall Classic' headliner, which paid $10,000 to the winner, after running sixth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. Complete results from the doubleheader weekend at "The Pond" can be viewed by clicking on www.ponderosaspeedway.net.

While the Kinzer Motorsports team will enjoy the upcoming November 11-12 weekend away from the racetrack, they will be busy preparing their racecars for the annual running of the ‘Gobbler,’ which will now be held at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia. The Southern Nationals Bonus Series will preside over the two-day showdown at the Chattanooga-area facility on November 18-19. Qualifying and heat races will take place on Friday night, while consolation events and the $10,000 to win feature are scheduled for Saturday evening.
