    Default Badlands Motor Speedway

Brandon SD, doors were closed yesterday and put up forsale for $9,750,000. The owners business was Dollar Loan Center and the State of SD voted NO to the high interest rates and set a 36% max on loans. Sad after dumping $10,000,000 in the speedway last year. Anyone interested, Tony Stewart?, Tod Quiring?

TUTY, is Badlands Motor Speedway the track that was formerly known as Huset's Speedway?

If it is, didn't Badlands run some high dollar sprint races this year?

    One and the same CIRF.

Bad deal for the racers and fans in that area.

I hope that someone can re-open the track for those that live there (it's a racy track that has just lacked good management for a few years IMO), but that price tag is going to make it tough I think.

Don't live in SD personally so I can't speak to the payday loan bill that the voters overwhelmingly were in favor of, but I read the press release the track put out and if I did live there, it wouldn't matter if they stayed open, he comes off as a pouty 4 year old child in his comments and doesn't help himself at all by basically blaming his customers.

Hopefully the local racers can find somewhere to race without breaking the bank to drive back and forth.

    Well said vande.

Have you been to this track since all the improvements have been done?

no, hard to justify a 5 hour drive to watch racing when I can drive 10 minutes to watch it the same night. If they still raced on Sunday's I would have made a few shows.

Hopefully someone purchases it and they run Sunday's and change the name back to Husets. Problem is it will cost $500,000 to change all his signage back and of coarse $9,750,000.

Very jealous of Vande, 10 min from the best dirt track in the world, I'd be hard-pressed to go anywhere else either!
