Default Here's hoping the Gateway Nationals are a huge success

The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri has hosted a wide array of events over the course of its history. The Rams franchise used the 66,000 seat facility as the home of their NFL contests from 1995 to 2015. Also, an NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four won by the University of North Carolina was held there in 2005.

I wondering what kind of safety fence the are going use. This are not micro sprint running, lot faster and heavier cars are going be racing.

They used cattle panels... Seems safe enough if not used.

You would think so. He's always quick to copy and paste or reply to anything that has to do with this race. It's almost.....is annoying. He don't care to argue a point with anyone either.

    Just wait for it 3.....2......1......

If this race were to be held in Wyoming or Maine or anywhere else but St. Louis, his illiterate azz would be slamming it

It was dirt on dirt that the dome makes them leave room between the dome walls and track.

I saw where the room between the track and stands was for entry and exit and was mandated by safety officials.

If it isn't one line around the bottom (which I predict it to be, better than no race at all), there will have to be a TON of down-time for fence repair. That dinky fence is going down the first time a modified gets in there too hot and pushes out of the "banking", through that "catch-fence", and into the hotdog stand.

My opinion is that this is going to be a great event! When have never been able to say we get to see Billy Moyer and Scott Bloomquist race in December! I can't wait!

Good luck to everyone involved, if those guys can't make it successful nobody can.

Kevin Gundaker said on a DOD interview that the track was flat on the bottom with more banking as you go up the track. This seems like a successful way to make a multi groove track. If not, it keeps them off the bottom. If it isn't a bottom train race, you always have the Slider to make a race of it.

Steel posts, cattle panels and cable is what you see at most tracks for a catch fence.

I think we have a real good chance of seeing a good race.
