    Default Axle Clamp ID Please...

I bought a box of AFCO shocks and parts and got a couple clamps I can't ID... I thought I'd ask the experts...

    Thanks.

The left side is for a limiter chain it appears and the one on the right appears to be for the brake calipers.

I sorta figured it was a brake bracket... thanks for confirming that. Might need that limiter bracket someday... I'll put it on the shelf. Being a low buck guy I seldom toss anything in the trash...

    Thanks.

Looks like parts that were made by bert. You will need a stainless steel gibb for each of these to keep it from spinning on the tube.

I'll check it out... I know Bert has made hubs and such in the past.

This deal got me 5 AFCO twin tubes, one PRO twin tube and one AFCO bulb shock plus misc c/o kits, shock bearings and such for $100.00... going to have re-valve a few since most are ez up's for the LR but I got a couple 7 " that are perfect for the front. So now I have a total of nine shocks for my old buggy (two fresh qa1's in stock, too) for a total investment of $120.00... right in line with my no-dollar budget!

    Thanks.

I think the left one is for an old Bert birdcage where you could unbolt the shock bracket and put bolt thru this clamp to make it clamped to tube instead of birdcage. Most chain limiters rotate on tube and the notch in bracket is for slug to lock into tube for no rotation.
