Summit Racing Equipment Remains Title Sponsor for American Modified Series in 2017

Glasgow, KY (December 20, 2016)- Representatives from Summit Racing Equipment and the American Modified Series would like to announce that Summit Racing Equipment will continue its marketing partnership with the American Modified Series and will continue to be the title sponsor for the series for the upcoming 2017 racing season.

“Our series is so thankful to be able to continue our marketing partnership with Summit Racing Equipment and once again welcome them back as our tour’s title sponsor”, stated series president Jeff Crawford. “Summit Racing Equipment’s involvement with our series allows everyone associated with our tour the means to present highly competitive UMP Dirt Car Modified competition at several great racing venues around the Midwest and allows the racers to compete for good purses and a nice season-ending points fund”, added Crawford. “The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will embark on its eighth season of competition in 2017 and we are very appreciative to Summit Racing Equipment for not just their involvement in our tour, but with dirt track racing in general”, concluded Crawford.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is also pleased to announce it will continue its working relationship with the UMP Dirt Car Modified organization, as the UMP Dirt Car organization will have its officials at all series events to handle technical inspection of the race cars.
Drivers can also earn points toward the UMP Dirt Car Modified national title, along with earning points toward the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series championship title as well.

Series officials with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series are in the final stages of putting together their 2017 racing schedule and by all preliminary indications, it will be the biggest season for the tour, with lots of prize money up for grabs over the course of the 2017 race campaign.

The 2017 Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series season championship points fund will pay out as follows: 1st- $5,000, 2nd- $2,500, 3rd- $1,500, 4th- $1,300, 5th- $1,100, 6th- $1,000, 7th- $800, 8th- $700, 9th- $600, 10th- $500. For a driver to earn his/her full payout for their finishing position in final 2016 series points, the driver must be a member in good standing with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series and must have attended at least 75% of the series points events.
