How big is the Chilli Bowl impact spread ?

We were viewing a Meacum collector car auction on national TV and there big as you please was one of the drivers running one through and he had on a Chilli Bowl T shirt. Nothing like that was seen from the mud livery service cab or GIMMICK racing end !

The Chili Bowl is about to get bigger. Emmett Hahn did a question and answer session on the Wednesday of Chili Bowl week and was asked directly if there would be a 5th preliminary night added to the 4 already part of the program. Without coming out and confirming it he pretty much said in so many words that there probably would be a 5th prelim night added.

Emmett said the schedule is already negotiated and confirmed for 2018. He said it was getting nearly impossible to race 90+ cars a night for 4 nights and they would have to look at a viable solution for 2019.

They were starting hot laps at 4 PM this year, racing at 5 PM and with the Race Of Champions on Tuesday night and it was almost midnight when the program was concluded. All those cars and a sold out grandstand every night is a problem that most promoters would love to have but given the circumstances of The Chili Bowl it can present some serious concerns.
