Erb's 2016 was seriously under-rated. At his age and with all of his experience you can't really call it a breakout year, but even without the Dream win he really upped his game. I would not be surprised to see him win more races this year and continue to be a threat at every crown jewel event.

    Default WoO and Lucas picks

    WoO-
    1.)Brandon Sheppard(8)
    2.)Shane Clanton(6)
    3.)Billy Moyer Jr(4)
    4.)Devin Moran(4)
    5.)Brian Shirley(3)
    6.)Eric Wells(2)
    7.)Tyler Erb(1)
    8.)Rick Eckert(1)
    9.)Chub Frank(1)
    10.)Frank Heckenast Jr.(2)

If Madden(3) stays on tour, top 5, just don't see it happening.

    Lucas-
    1.)Bloomer(6)
    2.)Josh Richards(7)
    3.)Tim McCreadie(7)
    4.)Jimmy Owens(4)
    5.)Don O'Neal(3)
    6.)Dennis Erb Jr(3)
    7.)Earl Pearson Jr(2)
    8.)Steve Francis(1)
    9.)Darrell Lanigan(2)
    10.)Jared Landers(1)

I'd pick Jared higher, but dunno about health. And I think the top 3 is a toss up and is going to be a very competitive year.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

As a loyal fan of team zero, Josh Richards scares the chit outa me. That young man is a talent and natural wheelman! He is very easy on equipment and uses the whole racetrack. This new generation and the modified hybrid crossover drivers who bang that cushion lap after lap will have plenty of good weekends but you can't win a championship like that. Richards works from the bottom, middle and top bit will only use the cushion as a last resort. That is why he scares me and deserves to be mentioned as a threat to Scott. Wouldn't surprise me if he won 10-12 maybe 15 races. He is also a likeable guy who passes clean and never complains. I may be a fan when he gets out of those Racket chassis lol. He is a threat and I guarantee Bloomquist knows he has a fight on his hands! Can't wait boys, only weeks away!

I agree with everything you said. The only thing I can see being a problem for Josh is trying to mesh with a new team but, if that happens quickly I can see 10 wins and be a threat.

Kidrock, I bet the new team has every note that Rocket ran on the house car last season. Mark wants a championship in both major divisions. I'd be willing to bet that the Best performance Motorsports ride is basically a second house ride. I think they developed a plan to sell a couple hundred XR1 cars in the next few years and they knew it was gonna take Josh to do the job against the Lucas guys and felt comfortable with BShep getting the job done against the WOO boys. I bet if Vegas had odds, the younger Richards would have to be a favorite. Personally I like Scott as the underdog and we all know he is gonna heat up from the end of May through October. He can't let Josh get a huge lead like he did 2 years ago with JD. I believe from the bottom of my heart that hadn't they had some races cancelled in 2015 Scott would have gotten the job done then. Either way as long as all the drivers and fans make it home safely at night that's all that matters! I'm excited about 2017

You make some very good points. And yes If he starts winning right away and is beating Scott the rocket sales should go up. I agree with your assement about Josh getting a big lead might be hard to catch back up. I agree ir has put some excitement in the Lucas tour this year. It all starts soon
