CARNESVILLE, GA – Fastrak Pro Late Model Series officials have released a working 2017 Schedule of Touring Events for the South East Region. The slate features 17 races at eight different race tracks. The schedule is highlighted by the $20,000-to-win Fastrak World Championship Race on September 17 at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA.

The 2017 Fastrak South East Region Season Opener will be on April 1 with a $2,000-to-win race at Toccoa Raceway in Toccoa, GA. The next week, the Fastrak SE Tour travels to Virginia Motor Speedway for a $3,000-to-win race on April 8 with “The Commonwealth” race. There is an open date on Saturday night, April 15.

Two open dates on May 6 and May 13 lead into the Fastrak SE 12th Annual Triple Crown on Memorial Day Weekend. Beckley Motorsports Park returns to the Fastrak SE Touring schedule under new ownership on Friday night, May 26 with a $2,000-to-win race. The second jewel will be on Saturday night, May 27 with a $2,000-to-win race at Princeton Speedway in Princeton, WV.

Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, VA will present the third jewel of the 12th Annual Triple Crown for the Fastrak SE Tour on Sunday night, May 28 with a $3,000-to-win race. Ross Bailes is the defending champion of the Fastrak Triple Crown.

Virginia Motor Speedway will host its second Fastrak SE Tour event on Saturday night, June 3 with the $3,000-to-win USA 100. Toccoa Raceway will also host its second Fastrak SE race on June 17th with a $2,000-to-win race.

Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA will host the Fastrak SE Tour on Saturday night, July 1 with a $2,000-to-win race. Saturday night, July 15th is an Open Date and Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, GA will present the Fastrak SE Tour on Saturday night, July 22 with a $2,000-to-win race.

There is just one race on the 2017 Fastrak Pro Late Model Series South East Tour schedule in the month of August. Princeton Speedway will present the $2,900-to-win UBB Memorial for the Fastrak SE Tour on Saturday night, August 12.

The Labor Day Holiday Weekend will see the three-race Battle For The Belt with the Annual East Coast Rumble. It will begin on Friday night, September 1 at Beckley Motorsports Park with a $2,000-to-win race. The second leg of the East Coast Rumble will be the $5,000-to-win Moonshine 50 at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV on Saturday night, September 2.

The East Coast Rumble finale for the Fastrak Pro Late Model Series South East Tour will be on Sunday night, September 3 at Wythe Raceway for the $3,000-to-win 14th Annual Pro Late Model Nationals. The defending East Coast Rumble Champion is the defending Fastrack SE and Mid-Ohio Valley Touring Champion Cla Knight of North Augusta, SC.

The 14th Annual Fastrak World Championship Weekend at Virginia Motor Speedway will begin with the $5,000-to-win World Challenge Race on Friday night, September 16 for Fastrak Members that have competed in at least 10 sanctioned events that also include the Fastrak Pro Late Model Weekly Racing Series. Ryan Montgomery of Fairmont, WV is the defending World Challenge Race Champion.

The richest weekend in Pro Late Model history will conclude with the $20,000-to-win 14th Annual World Championship Race on Saturday night, September 17 that is open to all competitors, both Fastrak Members and non-members. Dennis “Rambo” Franklin of Gaffney, SC is the defending and only two-time Fastrak World Championship Race Champion.

There are still two big weekends of Fastrak Pro Late Model Series racing left on the 2017 schedule of events. Toccoa Raceway will host the two-day Inaugural Governor’s Cup Race on October 14-15. Lavonia Speedway will present the season finale on November 3-4 with the Annual Georgia State Race. Trent Ivey of Union, SC is the defending Georgia State Race Champion.

The purses for both the Governor’s Cup Race and Georgia State Race are yet to be determined. The 2017 Fastrak Pro Late Model Series South East Tour schedule is subject to change, so stay tuned to the series web site and Facebook page for updates.
