Blake Spencer Launches into the Cyber World; East Bay Up Next

St. Augustine, Florida (01/30/17) – Blake Spencer and Revolution Racing are the latest addition to the MSR Mafia and have launched a brand-new website at www.BlakeSpencer.com .

Blake is embarking on his 13th year of racing in 2017. This season will find Spencer piloting both the Revolution Racing #6 Bozard Ford Longhorn Chassis Super Late Model and the Revolution Racing #6 QuickLane Tire & Auto Longhorn Chassis Crate Late Model.

The 2017 season began for the team at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Thursday night during the opening round of the annual Bubba Army Winternationals. With 41 NeSmith Dirt Late Model entries in action at the 3/8-mile oval, Blake qualified sixth fastest in his group before registering a 3rd-place finish in his qualifier to lock into the 10th-starting spot for the feature. The finale would find Blake racing in the Top 10 throughout the event before crossing the finish line in 10th.

Friday's program found another $2,000-to-win event taking center stage for the NeSmith Dirt Late Model competitors at Bubba Raceway Park. Blake's luck wouldn't be as good as the night prior. After getting behind in qualifying, Spencer would struggle to rebound, and his night came to an early end with an 8th-place finish in the B-Main.

After seeing the $10,000-to-win finale delayed to Sunday by Mother Nature, Blake earned the 17th-starting spot for the 100-lap main event after winning a consolation race. Unfortunately, he would be an early retiree in the finale, and was credited with a 22nd-place finish.

“We had a much better car than what our results indicated, but we are still getting a few bugs worked out here and there,” said Spencer. “We’ve got a really great team in place, so I’m really excited about this season.”

This week will keep Revolution Racing in action in their home state as they make the trip to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) to compete in a trio of Crate Late Model events. Thursday night will be headlined by a $2,000-to-win event, while Friday’s finale will pay $2,500 and Saturday’s main event will post a $3,000 top prize.
