Virginian Hardy to field Beeman's car.

Kyle Hardy of Stephens City, Va., will driver Jim Beeman Lumber Dirt late Models in 2017, car owner Jim Beeman and crew Chief Tader Masters confirmed to DirtOnDirt.com.

A rising 23-year-old talent who spent most of the 2016 season campaigning family-owned equipment, Hard takes over the seats of Beeman's MasterSbilt cars that were filled last year by Devin Gilpin of Columbus, Indiana. Hardy's familiar No. 99 will adorn the doors of the two new yellow MasterSbilt machines he will have at his disposal to run a variety of special events, including the crown jewels at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.

"Man that guy's good in the East," said Masters, the MasterSbilt Race Cars co-owner who worked closely with Hardy while helping operate MBH Race Cars following the April 2014 death of its founder Huey Wilcoxen. "We want to take him to some new tracks, get him out there a little more, and try get a program together to be ready to next year to hit it harder.

"We're really looking forward to racing with him. He's a young, he's good, he's mobile, and he's got some real potential."

Beeman, 58, of North Vernon, Ind., is a former driver who has fielded race cars for three decades. With new cars and fresh Jay D!ckins engines added to his existing stockpile of Clements power plants, he excited to go racing with Hardy.

"He's a good young man," Beeman said of Hardy, who will make only limited starts in his family owned car this season. "He has a real bright future in the sport."

Hardy, who tested Beeman's new car recently at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway, will stay at Master's home in Crothersville, Ind., to work regulary on Beeman's equipment . The team is eyeing a March debut at an event somewhere in the Southeast.

Is this the same guy that just about ran Boggs into the infield in 2015? Casey Roberts won the race (think it was at Friendship). The 99 pulled back onto the track under green without looking. It cost Boggs a win.
    We'll miss ya Doc Watson...

Yeah the same guy. He wasn't doing it to Boggs personally, he was just coming on the track no matter what and the leader happened to be coming.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.
