Default Kelly Kovski Medical Recovery Fund established for those who wish to help

I have been receiving many calls asking how someone can help Kelly through this. Kelly and his family will have many expenses that are not going to be covered by insurance so I have established an online fund to help defray some of those costs. Kelly is still hospitalized in Florida and will be there for an extended time frame. He is scheduled for surgery in the next few days on his back.

If you are so inclined to help, this is one way of doing so. You can also mail a check payable to Kelly Kovski Medical Recovery Fund to 3886 E. St. Rt. 54 Springfield, IL. 62707

Additionally, there are several fundraising projects in progress and details will be released as they are finalized.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL – Three participants in the pit area were injured in an incident at a DIRTcar Nationals World of Outlaws event at Volusia Speedway Park Sunday night when a car went through the fence in turn two. All were treated by emergency personnel immediately according to safety protocol and transported to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Longtime ARCA Racing Series driver/crew chief and Springfield (Ill.) Hoosier Tire Midwest Store Manager Kelly Kovski was among those injured in the mishap. In addition to his own racing career, Kovski is the crew chief for Justin Allgaier Motorsports and oversees daily operations of Allgaier Racing Shocks. He is being treated at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Fla. and is listed in stable condition.

The family requests privacy at this time and appreciates all prayers and well wishes. They would also like to thank the first responders and medical staff for their rapid response.
