Mod race was lengthy, and they ran the full 30 laps, PLUS all the winner's cirole podium interviews, etc... They then shortened the SLM feature to 40 laps quietly from 50, and then called it after "halfway" at 23 laps... SLM fans didn't get to see even 50% of the advertised Woo distance... Toolbox challenge could have held later on also to speed show up...

This is what really ticks me off, these silly side shows that waste time.
I ran Volusia in my modified wearing a snowmobile suit since it was only 18 degrees... had to put antifreeze in the radiator... didn't call it because of winter!

WRG has a history of shaving laps off the feature and not telling anybody. They did the same thing last year at the Rockford Clay Classic. Took 10 laps off both the sprint and late model features. On top of that they secretly made the late model feature a non points event. So instead of getting to see the hottest driver in lm's work his way through the feature field from the rear, as soon as the green came out he, Boom Briggs, Chase Yunghans, and one other driver pulled to the infield and parked
Toolbox challenge has 3 fans hold Craftsman personal size toolboxes at arms length, who can do the longest gets a $50 Sears Craftsman gift card, others get a bottle opener.. Understand the need to involve series sponsor 100%, BUT, when shows are running long, weather, etc., do them when it doesn't hold the average paying customer's show please...
Since they didn't run 50% of the advertised race, are all the Bloomquist, Owens and Saterlee fans going to sue for the ticket price? Seems they ran 23 of 50 laps last night. Worse, the people that are disgusted, miss tonight's race and it could be the race of the year. You never know what you will get at Volutia, but it is racing in February. The lap counter wasn't certified.
Sure, it was dangerous to keep racing, but the official crew wasted that valuable time, where all the racing could have been over in a decent amount of time. Why is it, after two rain outs you wouldn't be out on that track early enough to guarantee a good track and start on time. If there was ever a race that shouldn't be a points race, this is one.

Thanks, never seen one I'm like you can't see holding up the show for something like that.
The track was in a dam if they do and dam if they don't situation. They had around 5 inches of rain the last 2 days and you knew it was going to be elbow up. So is the track just suppose to cancel because it's going to be hammer down or "try" to get a race in? They tried to get it in.
I commend the track for trying, however who would of guessed fog would of came in and fogged up the racers visors. It comes back to the dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.
Hopefully they will get the opportunity to dry it out a little today after they opened it up and we can get a good race in tonight.
I wouldn't put to much blame on the big block mods.... Again, they were fighting the same condition of a hooked up wide open racetrack. The late models had just as many cautions as the mods... It was just one of those deals...
WoO made the right decision to call it. We all want to get the race in, however you have to be responsible and safety is also a consideration, as well as the racers equipment. The average couch racer doesn't understand this.
Why would they if all 3 drivers weren't there or even Richards? Another dumb comment.....
I see that went over your head. Explanation= Not relevant if those drivers attended. They are litigious, The tire suit against WRG. therefore their fans may be that way.
Anyway, weather was a factor once the race got started. The weather wasn't a factor in Wasting a bunch of time before the race even started. And everyone shilling for the world of outlaws seems to be ignoring their history of this kind of behavior.

Ever heard of the word assume? Or you jumping to conclusions and that. For someone so high and mighty, you sure are full of sh!t sometimes.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.
