I don't know about drivers, but I do know SAS will be in Cherokee the next day. Maybe one or two of those guys swing thru, but I doubt it.

Perhaps a few. I'm actually considering making the 2 hour trip up there. Weather looking great for Saturday night. But it's gonna depend on the roll call. I wanna see some regional names not a list of nobodies.

I have looked at lots of drivers schedule and nobody has it listed, but most have the Cherokee race on there. Sucks, but it is what it is.

    Cool

It would be nice to see some of these guys there, this is a list I compiled doing some research on winners of 3 or more races at North Georgia Speedway of at least $3,000 since 2000.

    Races Won ($)
    Ronnie Johnson 11 wins ($36,500)
    Dale McDowell 9 wins ($48,000)
    Ray Cook 9 wins ($35,000)
    Skip Arp 7 wins ($40,000)
    Chris Madden 6 wins ($30,000)
    Shane Clanton 4 wins ($30,000)
    Jimmy Owens 4 wins ($22,000)
    Randy Weaver 3 wins ($13,300)
    Clint Smith 3 wins ($13,000)
    Aaron Ridley 3 wins ($11,500)

I would expect John Owenby to be there in defense of his win last year. Would also look for Derrick Ellis and Jamie Perry, possibly McDowell.

Poor McDowell needs to come test if nothing else to try to get the bugs worked out! He's struggled thus far, unusual for him!

God almighty! FUTURE PROMOTERS PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THIS GUY IS MAKING. For some reason, this person feels like it is a great idea for practice to happen the night before every single SLM race. WHYYYY!!!! This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in my life. It's like the Ice Bowl every single weekend, we already know who's going to win because the track is locked down and one lane every single week. WORK ON THE TRACK! MAKE NORTH GEORGIA SPEEDWAY GREAT AGAIN! Come on Trump, do something!

I'm sure someone is going to say, "Hey man just be happy..." BULLCRAP! I am done being happy at the racetrack, because I want it to be good, and I can already see in my head how terrible its gonna be with the one chance some good cars come into town and we shoot our load on having a dang open practice and let the track be locked down and one lane for a boring train race.

Somebody else will prolly say "Just don't come", NO I'm gonna be there because I support the track every single week, but nobody gets on here and says a word and the things are gonna continue to be the same if something isn't said.

I agree completely. Track is usually good for practice Friday night and then junk for the race Saturday, you would think they'd get the picture. Its sad because I remember the days when the track would be lightening fast in hot laps, then by feature time it slowed down and was multi-groove. Key thing was they didn't have practice the night before to kill the track and then do nothing besides put about 2 loads of water on it before the race... it just frustrates me beyond belief they continue to shoot themselves in the foot like that!!!

You'll get the practice money allows the show to happen remark. It's actually correct and sad at the same time. Promotion is dead unless you count posting on Facebook.
