CARNESVILLE, GA – With the announcement this week of the launch of the Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series, the series Director Rose Compton has hit the ground running and is scheduling races for the 2017 season. This series was formed by the popular demand of racers looking for a strong Regional series to give them races for more laps and more money.

The Ultimate NE Super Late Model Series is the fourth series of the Ultimate brand of regional super late model racing founded by Fastrak Racing CEO Stan Lester. The original Ultimate series was founded in 2011 and its races were mainly in the Southeastern United States. As competitors began traveling to these races from the north, Lester decided to expand the series.

Instead of growing the Ultimate Super Late Model Series geographically, Lester started the Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model Series in 2016 that covered Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana. After the first successful season of the Ultimate BoB Series, interest began to grow geographically.

Two more Ultimate regions have followed for 2017 with the Dave Poske’s Performance Parts Ultimate Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series that covers West Virginia and Southern Ohio, and the Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series covering Pennsylvania. Lester feels it is best for each region to have races within a three hour radius of the region to keep traveling costs down.

“Throughout the history of dirt late model racing, Pennsylvania has produced some of the top drivers in the sport,” Lester said. “The Pennsylvania drivers of today need a regional stage to develop their respective careers with bigger races to get their names known outside of their home tracks. The Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series can provide them with that opportunity, and also give track operators a special event that will bring the best drivers to their track for an economical price.”

Lester also said the Ultimate concept of Regional Super Late Model Series gives more drivers an opportunity to compete for a seasonal point fund in a series of races that will be consistently officiated by the same personnel. The Ultimate NE Super Late Model Series events will pay a minimum of $3,000-to-win and $400-to-start.
