A little off the beaten path and not big enough for "mega-shows" but there has never been -- NEVER BEEN -- a bad Late Model race at Ark-La-Tex Speedway! About 1200 grandstand fans has been the biggest crowd ever but the 3-wide on-track action can't be beat! Ask anyone who's seen a Late Model show there.

You get only two chances a year to watch Late Models there though. That's a product of northwest Louisiana racing economics. First is next Friday, "The Pelican" on March 17th. 2nd will be the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Late Models on Saturday May 6th.

Thanks everyone for participating...It's always nice to change things up and see difference of opinions without getting into a knock out drag out argument. Congratulations to FALS! You really can't go wrong with several of these tracks. However, it's hard to argue against what type of facility is being run in the little town of Fairbury. They continue to make track improvements yearly. The new catch fence and brand new dirt should be two great additions this season. Three wide racing on a 1/4 mile dirt track. Who wouldn't be excited about that? FALS has an up and coming track promoter (Matt Curl) who genuinely cares about the true dirt track racing experience for fans AND drivers alike. He is trying hard to continue keeping FALS at the top of everyone's list as "must see tracks". Curl and the rest of the hard working team are their own biggest critics. This in itself goes a long way. Bottom line, FALS gets what it takes to keep the fans coming back. There were some good cases made for places like Magnolia, Lernerville and a couple others. Both of those tracks could make the argument to replace Smoky Mountain, and Charlotte. All in all, a fun poll. Let's hope mother nature treats these tracks and all the great tracks around the country well this racing season!
