Default TN Tipoff Classic at Smoky Mountain is a GO for this weekend!

From the Smoky Mountain Speedway Facebook Page: UPDATE: Smoky Mountain is a GO for the Tennessee Tipoff weekend. We will monitor weather throughout the weekend and IF radar shows rain moving in before Late Evening we may consider adjusting times for Saturday's event. SMS Management is monitored hourly radar and everything appears to be working in our favor. Any rain in the forecast is minimal and should not affect this weekends Event.

Thursday's Test and Tune: Gates open at 5,
6-9 PM is an Open Test Session.

We anticipate a large amount of Super LM's so we will be doing another Test and Tune Session from 9-10 PM for Super LM's only.

There should be some good seats available. Just not a good forecast for a dirt track racing event. Good luck hope it works out.

Hope they have a great show, but they seem to be on the wrong side of common sense here.

There is a sign in Dalton GA that says " Common sense is a flower that doesn't grow in everyone's garden." But if they get it in, that's great. However, I am backing out on this one.

I'm good with it. It's not my thousands of dollars they're about to lose.

Very smart move by Smoky Mountain Speedway. Saturday has been moved up to a 1:30 start time. They should beat the weather no problem!

Thursday and Friday are normal start times, all gates open Saturday at 11:00 am and the driver's meeting is at 1:30 pm and hot laps will be at 2:00 pm. Hope to see you there.

    Default Glad they are running!

Lots of people will be glad they are running! I am sure it will be a good race. But with a high of 44 degrees and a 10 MPH north wind, I will pass. Enjoy!

The way the nose looks on some of the cars now, they should be able to plow snow off a track rather quickly.
