Default Tire Needlers and MD-56 tires

Can someone explain to me why I would want to needle my tires? You always hear people talk about grooving and sipping their tires but never anything about needling?

Mainly concerned with working on 12" spec America Racers MD-56 tires and getting such a hard tire to work.

Think of a meat tenderizer, by needling the tires you're basically doing the same thing. It will help soften them blocks some. That's my take on it anyway. Also works good with tire prep 🙊

You bust up the block by putting tiny flaws in it. It will be a little softer and build heat easier due to moving around more under shear load on the track.
