(Cover photo left to right: Christian Eckes/16, Austin Theriault/23, Bret Holmes/19, Zane Smith/17). In fact, 16 entries have already landed at the home office. Two-Time Daytona 500 Winner Enters April 8th Event In Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Event To Feature ARCA & Super Late Models (Nashville, TN) – For the third straight year, Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville will be the site of a huge early season event featuring some of the top racers in the United States. It’s all set for Saturday, April 8th, as the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will run in the Music City 200 presented by Azure Foundation. In addition, the Super Late Models of the ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by JEGS will go head-to-head with the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco. Both entry lists continue to grow and among the top stars will be two-time Daytona 500 winner, Sterling Marlin, who has recently entered the lineup for the North/South Super Late Model challenge presented by Team Construction. Marlin, a 10-time winner during his strong NASCAR Cup Series career, also accumulated 216 top 10’s and 11 pole awards. The racing veteran is a local favorite, claiming multiple championships at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville and still competes on a regular basis at the track in their Pro Late Model class. Marlin recently made a start with CRA’s other division, the JEGS CRA All-Stars Tour, during Speedfest in Cordele, GA. “Really looking forward to racing this show. It’s my favorite track and I want to race there every chance I get”, Marlin said. What makes this a little more special, is that Marlin has not raced a Super Late Model in some time, racing Pro Late Models for the last several years. 2017 will mark the first time Marlin has been part of the ARCA/Super Late Model doubleheader at his home track. The event will definitely be a challenge, with a star studded field of entries that continue to come in. Marlin added, “We had a test with the Pro Late Model a week or so ago and it was bad fast so hopefully that will transfer over to our Super stuff. It’s been a few years since I’ve run with the Supers.” Some of Marlin’s toughest competition on the Super Late Model side will come from 2016 Southern Super Series champion, Donnie Wilson. Wilson won last year’s combined event in convincing fashion. On the CRA side, last year’s rookie of the year, Dalton Armstrong, who won a 50-lap event at Fairgrounds Speedway last year, will look to back up his strong 2016 campaign. Armstrong, also won the Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway. A list in upwards of 30 cars is currently put together for the Super Late Model portion of the show. That list is still expected to go up, as the event is important in terms of making the cut in terms of entries as well as making the show with provisional starting spots at the Bristol event in May. Both the ARCA/CRA Super Series and Southern Super Series will be using their previous event entries as well as points to determine who makes the cut in Bristol. The North/South Super Late Model Challenge 100 presented by Team Construction will have an optional three hour practice sesson on Friday, April 7th. There will be another hour of practice on Saturday, April 8th, followed by qualifying, a last chance race if needed, and then the feature event, which will consist of 32 cars that will pay $5,000 to win in addition to a coveted guitar. The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will also be in action on Saturday, April 8th with the Music City 200 presented by Azure Foundation. For more information on the ARCA/CRA Super Series, including the ARCA/CRA Super Series entry form and current entry list, visit www.cra-racing.com. For more info on the Southern Super Series, including their entry form, visit www.southernsuperseries.com. Thad Moffitt, Grandson of Richard Petty, set for ARCA debut at Nashville NASHVILLE (April 4, 2017) -- Thad Moffitt, the 16-year-old grandson of NASCAR champion/legend “The King” Richard Petty, has officially filed an entry for the Music City 200 presented by Azure Foundation at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville, this Saturday, April 8. The event will mark Moffitt's career-first ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start. The 16-year-old Wheatmore High School student tested with Empire Racing Group, a development team of Richard Petty Motorsports, on the historic high-banked, short-track last week and proved he was ready for the next challenge. "I learned a lot in a few hours," said Moffitt. "I need a little more speed. I know we have it...it's just a matter of getting fully comfortable in the car. I realize now that I should have done a couple things differently, but it's all part of the learning process." As Moffitt continues to learn about the business of stock car racing, he has the option of seeking out his famous grandfather for advice. "He'll (Richard Petty) give me advice if I ask, but he wants me to learn on my own, just like Adam (Petty) and Uncle Kyle (Petty) did. We all have different driving styles so advice for one won't always work for the other." No matter how things go for Moffitt in his ARCA debut at Nashville, there is no doubt he has already decided that racing is his focus and what he wants to continue to do in the future. "This is what I want to do...there's nothing that I love more than racing. There's been absolutely no pressure from my family at all. Nobody told me I had to be a race driver. This is what I want." And so far, so good for the fourth-generation Petty family racer. Moffitt won the Southeast Limited Late Model Series championship in 2016, winning a main event at Anderson Motor Speedway in South Carolina. Moffitt found out that the heavier ARCA cars handle much differently than the lighter late models. "There's a big feel difference, especially coming off the corner. The ARCA cars have so much more horsepower. I was spinning my tires bad, but I learned to feed it gas as I go...then I picked up speed. "Nashville's an amazing track. I learned that it's got multiple grooves. You could enter low and let it push up and bring it back down coming off. But once the tires got to 75 laps or so, you could pretty-much run the second groove all the way around. I love the banking in that track...the way it sucks you into the corner." Moffitt also says he's "really excited" for his ARCA debut. "Definitely...I'm really excited. I know there is going to be a lot of really competitive drivers...some of these guys have been running this series for years, but I'm looking forward to all the competition. If I could finish the race and come out with a top-10 with all those strong competitors, I'd call that a successful ARCA debut." If there's no pressure from his family, Moffitt says he puts it on himself. "Yeah I do put it on me. I've got big shoes to fill but I know everybody's going to be proud of me and they're still going to love me whether I come home 30th or in the top-10. But yeah there's some pressure for me. Uncle Kyle won in his first ARCA race at Daytona and Adam won at Charlotte. I don't have to tell you about my grandfather...these are big shoes." This year's Music City 200 will also include the North-South Shootout with the Southern Super Series and the ARCA CRA Super Series combo race. Last year, CRA got added to the Super Late Model mix to create the North-South shootout. The field saw a jump to 35 cars featuring some of the best short track racers in the country, with Donnie Wilson winning the top prize over Steven Wallace. Super Late Models have a practice session Friday night, April 7 from 4-7 p.m. On Saturday, April 8, North-South Shootout practice will begin at 12 noon, with North-South Shootout qualifying at 3pm. General Tire Pole Qualifying for the ARCA Racing Series is at 4:15pm, with racing action following at 5:45pm with the North-South Shootout presented by Team Construction 100. Race fans will be treated to the ARCA Racing Series Music City 200 grand finale at 8pm. The Music City 200 will be aired on MAVTV. Discounted presale tickets for the event are available for $25, a $5 discount off raceday ticket prices. They are available by calling the event promoters Track Enterprises at 615-470-5214 or 217-764-3200. Runner-up at Nashville in '16, Fike looking for win in '17 BROWNSBURG, Ind. (April 4, 2017) – After seven weeks off, AJ Fike and the RFMS Racing team are back on the track Saturday April 8 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville for the ARCA Racing Music City 200 presented by Azure Foundation. Fike finished second last year at Nashville and is looking forward to getting back in the No. 27 MatrixCare-Consonus-Liberty Village Ford for the second ARCA race of the season. “I feel pretty confident going into this race," said Fike. "Last year we qualified mid-pack and we worked our way to front as the race went on. I thought we had a shot at the win; we needed a yellow to see if we had anything on the winner." After crashing out at Daytona the crew has been working hard to put together a fast car for Nashville. “It’s a different car than we ran last year. I think it’s going to be even better. Dan Glauz (crew chief) and the guys had more time to fine-tune it. I know they will give me a good car and maybe with a little luck we can put it in victory lane." So far there are 34 driver entries for the Music City 200 at the historic Nashville track. “It’s a fun track. It’s one of the oldest tracks in the country and has a lot of history. A lot of drivers have come up through there and it would be great to get a win." This is the second ARCA race of the season for the team and they are thrilled to be running the full schedule for 2017. “I would just like to thank all the sponsors coming back this year: MatrixCare, Consonus, Office Specialists, RSM, RD McMillen, Liberty Village, Holt Supply, First Mid-IL Bank, and Alton Winnelson. We are really excited about doing the full ARCA schedule and we owe that to them. I feel really lucky to be able to do what I do,” said Fike. The Music City 200 presented by Azure Foundation will air live on MAVTV Saturday at 8 p.m. Central. General Tire Pole Qualifying begins at 4:15 Saturday afternoon. ARCAracing.com will feature live timing and scoring and live chat of all on-track activity. If you would like more information about this topic, please contact Suzanne Meeker at 309-368-3369.

Music City Auto Auction of Nashville Partners With Ken Schrader Racing For Music City 200 presented by Azure Foundation & Jive Communications, Inc. Concord, N.C. (April 3, 2017) – Ken Schrader Racing, Inc. announced today that Music City Auto Auction of Nashville (MCAA) will serve as primary sponsor on its #52 entry, with driver Austin Theriault, for the April 8, 2017 Music City 200 presented by JIVE at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. “We are excited to have the Music City Auto Auction on our Ford for the upcoming ARCA race in Nashville,” team owner Ken Schrader said. “Its sister company, the Orlando Longwood Auto Auction, partnered with us in Daytona and we won the race. Making it to Victory Lane was thrilling not only for our team, but also the Auction folks. We’re hoping for a repeat in Nashville.” The Music City Auto Auction is a state of the art, 60 acre facility in Spring Hill, Tenn., with Sales Days every Tuesday at 3 p.m. MCAA received the prestigious Ally Leadership Award in both 2015 and 2016. This honor is ‘awarded to the Auction that surpasses all others in Performance’. In 2016 MCAA sold more than 22,000 cars. "MCAA is proud to continue our partnership with Ken Schrader Racing,” MCAA General Manager, Tim Sherk said. “Having aligned our award winning brand with such a successful organization and experiencing the ultimate thrill at Daytona we look forward to more success at the Music City 200." “Nashville has great character -- from its worn out asphalt, to its history as being one of the tracks on which many of the NASCAR greats cut their teeth,” Austin Theriault said. “My last race at the track was in 2013 in a Super Late Model, which is different than the heavy ARCA cars. I will take what I learned back then and try to apply it to these cars. Coming off a successful Daytona, I’m excited that the auction group is partnering with us again at one of the best tracks on the 2017 calendar.” Crew chief Donnie Richeson has been racing at the Fairgrounds track since 1980. He has been successful with a number of drivers including the Green brothers and Darrell Waltrip. “I am anxious to see how well Austin does at Nashville in this new Ford composite,” Richeson said. “Austin has raced here in late models and I believe he will transition well in an ARCA car.” Discount presale tickets are available by calling Track Enterprises at 217-764-3200.
